Some of the most common questions we get are about mold. They range from "Is this mold?" to "I have mold, can I get rid of it myself?" 

In Florida there is dampness everywhere. Mold or growth is fueled by damp conditions. Some of them love the dark and some of the love the light. There are too many types of mold to list in one post. 

Most kinds of most will not cause harm, however when combined with optimal conditions the mold can produce toxins. Some of molds favorite places to hide include cabinets, basements and crawl spaces. The most common places mold are found is the breeding ground of moisture in bathrooms and kitchens. 

Who can be affected by mold?

Some people are more sensitive to mold than others. Age and general health are two of the biggest factors that can show if you are affected by Mold. Those that are further along in their years or a very young may have a compromised immune system.
