Mold Damage – Titusville Bathroom
Mold damage occurred at this Titusville home due to the seepage of water through the failed caulking and hairline cracks in the bathroom tile. Water had crept behind the wall and spread through the wallboard backing of the tile. Along with the lack of light, a worrisome amount of mold growth developed. It was so pervasive that when SERVPRO of New Smyrna Beach – Titusville was called in to mitigate the mold damage, the only choice was to tear the bathroom out and rebuild it from scratch. After removing the damaged building materials and drying the structural elements behind them, the entire area was treated with an antimicrobial substance to inhibit future mold growth. Then the reconstruction phase took place and when finished the family was overjoyed at the results.
