Mold Damage – Edgewater Residence
Mold damage was discovered in the closet of a child's bedroom of this house in Edgewater. It was caused by a leaking shower valve in the bathroom behind the wall pictured above. There was only a small amount of mold in this part of the house, and the carpeting was unaffected. After a containment was constructed, then baseboard and drywall had to be removed. A small amount of insulation had to be removed, and the wall structure was dried with dehumidification. The structural mold was removed with light sanding.
